The Research Journal of Media and Communication (RJMC) is pleased to announce its call for papers for the inaugural issue. As the official journal of the Department of Communication and Media Research at the School of Communication Studies, University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan, RJMC aims to promote scholarly excellence and foster interdisciplinary dialogue in the field of media and communication studies.
Scope: RJMC welcomes submissions of original research articles, theoretical essays, critical reviews, and methodological contributions across a wide range of topics related to media and communication. We encourage submissions that address, but are not limited to, the following areas:
- Media Institutions and Industries
- Journalism and News Media
- Digital Media and Social Networking
- Media Effects and Audience Studies
- Media Policy and Regulation
- Communication Theory and Research Methods
- Intercultural Communication and Globalization
- Political Communication and Public Opinion
- Advertising and Public Relations
- Media Literacy and Education
Submission Guidelines: Authors are invited to submit their manuscripts through the online submission system on the RJMC website. All submissions must adhere to the following guidelines:
- Manuscripts should be original and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
- Submissions must be written in English and follow the RJMC style guide.
- Manuscripts should be double-spaced, using Times New Roman 12-point font, 5000-8000 words and adhere to APA citation style (7th edition).
- Authors must ensure anonymity by removing any identifying information from the manuscript to facilitate the double-blind peer review process.
Review Process: All submitted manuscripts will undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process, conducted by experts in the field of media and communication studies. Authors can expect constructive feedback from reviewers to enhance the quality and rigor of their work.
Publication Policy: RJMC is committed to open access publishing, ensuring that all published articles are freely accessible to researchers, practitioners, and the public worldwide. Authors retain copyright of their work, granting RJMC the right to publish and distribute the accepted manuscript.
